Accelerator diaphragm source

My 82 needs a new accelerator diaphragm. Is there a source for just the diaphragm? It does come in the keyster carb kit but I don't need the rest of the parts.

That would be a nice score. Many Visions don't necessarily need the entire kit but a new accell diaphragm is crucial to the fueling/throttle response on these bikes. This combined with YICS elimination, manifold sealing and throttle shaft seals would probably fix a fair amount of Vision carb complaints. A good cleaning goes without saying....

You can try looking at these: http://www.shopsbt.com/mikuni-jet-ski-carburetor-rebuild-kits/mikuni-i-body-accelerator-pump-diaphragm-square.html

They're close but difficult to say if it would work without dimensions. Maybe an email to their tech department?

I have another saved site I'll have to look for later that specializes in carb parts and might have something.

Thank you for the response and website. I will try to contact them and get some dimension information.

Here are a couple more sites to investigate:

The Kawasaki kit pictured here has a square diaphragm that looks closer to ours. Kawasaki was fond of using Mikuni so maybe a match?

This site is also worth looking at. Go to the "Contact Us" and email a query with a photo. Certain square body Mikuni BN style diaphragm carbs have accell pump parts similar to ours.

Yeah, I had no use of the keyster carb kit but I did need an accelerator diaphragm. I have a new one, a Yamaha OEM diaphragm for the 82, for sale. Write me if interested.
She is a slim and beautiful 82, so true, black and white and red all over!
