Hi

Is there anyone out there with presumably working at TCI-box for a -82 Vision, if the year matters? Trying to get the Vision Tracker back on track.

Chears

fret not

Ignitech in the Czech republic makes ignition controls.  They are well regarded.  I'm sure they are much more robust than the original Yamaha ignition unit.

Retired, on the downhill slide. . . . . . . . still feels like going uphill!

Don't have a spare sorry, but was wondering what part number are those Uni filters, and how are they working out.?

Looks they may be the dual layers ones. Maybe in the 2 1/4" I.D. range for US '82 carbs?

Hi guys!

Yes the pods are dual layer by the name of UNI as I recall it. Perfect fit, slightly angled containing a big spring to prevent collapsing. I don't see street bikers oiling foam filters like dirt bikers do. Surely filter oil must be called for if you want clean air? As far as how the function I haven't concluded that yet. The damn thing keeps cutting one cylinder out but when it goes it goes! Regarding the TCI i recall my call for a used one and aim for a Ignitech. They were reassuringly quick to respond to my e-mail.

Speaking of pods, Ichiban Moto's latest tech tip might actually host a usefull hint: https://youtu.be/Na6dbH9Mprc

Ignitech do 2 models, Sparker and TCIP4
The TCIP4 is programmable advance with the ability to add a Throttle Position Indicator or MAP sensor with 3D ignition curves. Only a few $ more.  Not run mine but seems decent quality.

When you wired your bike did you leave the YELLOW/BLACK Rev limiter wire disconnected?  These are prone to failure apparently and cause cylinder cut-out

I've seen some of his videos in the past. They are hilarious and me thinks are to be taken with copious grains of salt. Here's one on repairing dents in a "Goldwing" tank.
