Hi Everyone;
I was hoping I would have received some small interest in this engine and stand,perhaps I am asking too much for it,Should someone  either live or passing through the western New York area,please reach me at 716 693 8820 or 716 694 3906 as i have no computer,make me an offer so as I can let it go,I am sure if someone was to see it they would be impressed,i will also include a 1983 RK vision final drive unit with only 4000 miles on it.
Thanks
Jim Ruska

The bearings you used in this motor - were they genuine XZ550 or did you find something that fits?

I don't know why nobody in USA wants this.  With a bit of haggling on price it would be a great deal and guarantee being a visionary for another 30 years.

Tempted myself, I contacted a freight company - approx US$450 for shipping, plus I'd have to pay about $300 in taxes and levies.
That all adds up and alas, too much for me.

Turbo, have you run the engine since it was rebuilt?

I was intrigued if for no other reason than the Euro-gearing. I spoke to Jim and as he mentioned in his Feb 17 post I think he'd work with interested parties re price. I've got a strong runner and 2 spare engines currently. With my finances it's tough to justify the purchase but I suppose I'm still mulling it over. Someone do me a favor and buy it thus saving me from my own folly.  :)

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to check if any replies to last weeks post;
Every part including the main and rod bearings were NOS purchased from Cindy @ Speed&Sport in P.A. Motolink spares in the U.K. EBAY or in a lot of cases my local Yamaha dealer in North Tonawanda N.Y.
My Vision Restoration began about 12 years ago,A lot of parts were still available thru Yamaha at that time,things are different today.
The engine has not been run since the rebuild,it has not been installed in the bike,it remains on its stand,minus carbs,cam covers,left side cover,stator,ignition pickups..
Thanks for the inquirey
