Art, first class work.  Really impressive.  They, for sure, didn't look that good when they left the factory.  Thank you for doing such a great job restoring your V.

fret not

That's a very nice paint job, Art.
Retired, on the downhill slide. . . . . . . . still feels like going uphill!

She's starting to go back together. I made some little brackets to hold the new Dyna coils and I think they came out good. And the wheels haven't looked this good in a long time.

I may have made these pictures a little too small. Oh well.

I said I was going to have this project done before Barber's Vintage Days but that's not going to happen. My wife has to have a knee replacement next week and, by the time we got back to Mexico I'll have maybe 3 days before I leave for the event. Ain't gonna happen.

The nice thing about being retired is you don't have to stick to a schedule. It'll get done when it gets done.

Art, if your wind screen is yellowed by UV age as mine is, check out techniques for polishing plastic automotive headlights on You Tube.  There are several approaches to choose from.  I haven't tried any of them yet, but they would seem to hold promise.  Keep up the beautiful work.

Actually I've go a suprise coming on the screen. I'll reveal it when I get farther along.

The Vision Lives! I received my new (used) TCI unit, plugged it in, put some gas in the carbs, and it hit the first time I pushed the start button. Didn't start, mind you, but I could tell it fired. I'm going to try to post a video I made.
I've got a hundred details to finish before I go for a ride but it's getting closer.

Looks like the site doesn't like my video. I can't get it to load. After about 4 attempts the bike continued running. I synched the carbs then adjusted the air screws and now it idles steady at 1000 RPMs, revs really quickly, and falls right back to idle as it should. I love it! I gave the carbs a good cleaning, made sure the accelerator pump was working, used Dyna coils and Iridiam plugs. All that plus reshimming the valves and the old girl sounds like new.

That is a beautiful thing. Nice work!
