Some of you may know from the newsletters that Dan owned a Vision and was a big motorcycle enthusiast. He passed yesterday from complications of pneumonia. If you aren't familiar with his accomplishments on and off the track, the list is long and impressive. The reason he liked the Vision was the motor. Quite a recommendation coming from him. God speed.

That's a bit sad to hear, but Dan had a good long and very productive run.  He left a mark.
Retired, on the downhill slide. . . . . . . . still feels like going uphill!

Yes, quite sad to hear.  I met him once when I was maybe 12 years old in the pits at Seattle International Raceway during testing for a Trans Am race.  He was working on a couple of Mustangs but was nice enough to talk to everyone with a pit pass as we went by.

He was a long time hero of mine. He lived a long and productive life.  Another small hole in the fabric of my life. I especially love that his interest and curiosity in hydrocarbon powered machines was quite varied.  He explored so that we all could learn.
