I have heard of some one using O ring material for that application.  The part is no longer available from Yamaha.
Retired, on the downhill slide. . . . . . . . still feels like going uphill!

Got one now thanks to Vintage Bikeworks.  Hope it makes my bike look as gorgeous as his.

If it's the one seal with the funny shape. Then you can use a 113x3mm o ring (if I remember it correctly) it won't have tabs bit will seal. I've been using it for a while.
