No more schedules you say. Retired you say. You may find some cognitive dissonance there, as I have heard from many retired folks that say they don't know how they found time to work. I am also recently retired and my time is full. My last ride was in October, so any day now we will get a nice day and I might get out again.
Living where I do I also have easy access to the Sierra Mountains somewhat north of your area, guessing about 60 - 70 miles west of Lake Tahoe, near Colfax.
