POD, Pinholenz, and all the rest of you folks in the area . . . . The news feed sounds alarming! I check a website that follows and reports earthquakes around the world (https://earthquaketrack.com/) and it sounds like that section of the Ring of Fire is active right now. It seems to be mostly in the Kermadec Islands, not far from you POD. Have you felt anything shaking your walls? Damage? 
I felt nothing. Thankfully. I've had enough quakes to last me a lifetime. I live on a volcano which doesn't make such things any more settling.
We are just a bit further down the fault tectonically speaking so I hope it doesn't spread. They say we are 50 years overdue for a megathrust quake 2000 times the strength of the one we got a decade ago.
