Well, the site is back up and the season is 2 races old. Things have changed. Martin is leading the points. Acosta is the new wonder kid. He rode to a well deserved 3rd place after passing Marquez and Bagnaia. Vinales gifted him 3rd when the Aprilia had gear box problems and caused him to crash on the last lap.

The circus has moved to COTA and the sprint is in the books. The GP is in 3 hours. One thing that I don't expect to change is Yamaha and Honda will bring up the rear. Can Aprilia last a full race? We'll know in 4 hours.

Well, COTA was certainly an eye opener. Vinales started from pole and was promptly shuffled back to 11th. Marquez led maybe a lap, claimed brake trouble and crashed out. Acosta led a couple of laps and was passed by Martin. Vinales came back and passed everyone and won the race.
Now we're at Jerez. And both the sprint and the race will be live in the US on TruTv.

Well, the 2024 season is over and a new champion has been crowned. I guess nobody on this site cares.

fret not

Sure we do, Walt.  Doesn't everyone follow MOTOGP?
Retired, on the downhill slide. . . . . . . . still feels like going uphill!

I'm just basing it on zero replies throughout the season which, despite the Ducati dominance has been an interesting year. Marquez first year not with Honda. Acosta's first year with the big boys. Ducati had such a plethora of riders until they chose Marc for the 2025 factory team. Martin immediately signed with Aprilia joined by Bezzecchi. Bastianinni went to KTM satellite joined by Aprilia refugee Vinales. Pramac itself left Ducati and is the new satellite Yamaha team. I'm sure that's not everything. I'm not sure if I will be signing up for Video Pass as every race including the sprints was televised in the US but no practice or qualifying.
