Just wanted to fill peeps in on my 82. Did a total teardown on carbs. They where filled with 1/4 inch of rust colored mud. They cleaned up nice thou. Test filled carbs with gas on the bench and they checked out good. Threw in new plugs. First tap of the starter she fired right up. She has not run since 1993!! As of now its reading 14.4V hope that holds up! LOL
Bike idles great and pulls like crazy to redline. No stumble at all. These are early 82 carbs with 135 main air bleeds both and front 127.5 and rear 122.5 main jets with a vacume flapper airbox. The pilots(?) where both 5.5 turns out. Just thought i'd fill you all in on another one thats BACK! Just have to wait 4 days now, for the POR-15 to dry in the tank. Then the big test. Thanks again.
