Gas tank not registering

I believe when I got my vision, the gas tank was registering properly, but now it is now.  Is there some tests I can go through with a multimeter to see where my problem is?  I think it is probably a wiring problem, like a short or open circuit somewhere.  Thanks.

When you say gas tank I assume you mean Fuel gauge?
Is it registering at all?
They are not very accurate anyway
Mine shows empty when I have at least a gallon left
If it is not regietering at all lift the seat and check the connection at the back of the tank where the wires come out and join with a connector. I had to clean the connections on mine to get it to work when I first got the bike

The gas tank has a simple wire wound resistor. The copper oxidizes and will give inaccurate readings. The sender would need to be removed disassembled and cleaned with super fine sandpaper(#600). But if you have no readings then the wires are apart somewhere.
looks aren't important, if she lets you play by your rules
