First time here on the new board..I LIKE the new look...
Today we had temps approaching 50 deg (weird for Jan in Ohio)...I started up the V after doing NO pre-winter prep work and she ran like a raped ape. No apparent problems other than corrosion that will need repolished in the spring...oh yeah..and the bald rear metzler...I was thinking about running the K591 replacement from dunlop...has anyone had any experience with this new tire?

Anyways....glad to see your familiar names..am bookmarking this spot NOW

Dan, I ran all last summer on the new Dunlop's.  

Front  -  GT 501 F,  100/90-18  56V
Rear   -  GT 501 G,  120/90-18  65V

Previously I had the K 591's.  It's difficult to make a comparison because new tires allways feel better and also I upgraded the steering head bearings to rollers at the same time.  Overall I'd have to say the new GT's are at least as good and probably better.  Can't say how they'd work in a good 'ol Lake Erie snow storm.    :)
