There are quite a few, especially downtown, but I'm not so sure about trying that on a bike with no plates, and me with no license, right under the noses of several of Chicago's finest. Besides, pushing the bike that far (about 60 blocks) is not my idea of fun...enough bike-pushing with the Enfield to last me a lifetime.

One of these days I'm going to admit defeat, save up more money, and get a reliable bike, but that'll probably take all the fun out of it.

I've done it at least 5 times by running down a flat street next to the bike, jumping onto the bike, and dropping the clutch... I don't think my balance is that much better than average.  Just visualize what you are going to do, and I'm sure you'll be fine.
