i had to take off the entire thermostat housing and that ment taking off the coolant pipes that come out of the cylinders. i had a REAL hard time getting them back in with the new o-rings. Actually i reused 2 old o-rings because when i tried to put the pipes back in i cut 2 of them in half.  is there a trick to getting them pipes in easily? and yes i put some lube  on the o-rings.

thanks

I don't know where you got your o-rings? The stock ones are thin. I got slightly thicker ones, #13 from a hardware store(20 cents/ea.). WD40 is no help in this case. Use a little grease, no problem.  Any o-ring you can wreck easily is dried out. No trick, just having it on the side stand and taking a few extra seconds to line things up.
looks aren't important, if she lets you play by your rules

I double up on the O-rings...install them on the pipes and then install into the fittings. Tdub
