 >:(I took the 'V' out for a ride (142 miles), the only thing that feels wrong is the steady throttle at high speed. It seems to surge about 200 RPM up and down when it is running around 7000 RPM.
I have dipped the carbs and adjusted them. It starts fine ,runs like it should until I try to hold the throttle steady at highway speed. When I open her up she goes, then the surges.
ANY ANSWERS?

;D? No more surge!!! Took the carbs off,(ONE MORE TME)
put them on the bench to test the float level. The front was ok. The rear one seemed to have less fuel in the bowel. I adjusted the float. The rear carb still looked low with the clear tube test. So I adjusted the float so that the carb had the same fuel level as the front one. It seeme to work. I rode 156 miles today, and no surge!
