In-Line fuel filter

Where is the best spot to install in-line filter? I have installed one in my Vision 2" from petcock. Will not start. Gas is in clear filter. Do I need to install filter under tank above carb? The MC shop had three sizes. I purchased the medium size which has a .150 ID hole size in nozzle ends as checked with ID mics. I know this does not make sense, but this is not the first time this Vision has played with my head. Thanks Wayne

Hi there

I also have a clear in line filter about 2'' from the tap. I always strat my bike on prime to ensure my carb is full of gas.
I switch to "on" once she's going. You can actually (or I can) see the fuel pulsing througth the glass as the fuel pump does it's thing. On prime there is no pulsing. I'm sure you've checked but is the fuel flowing the right througth the filter?
