So how do some of you adjust the carbs for higher evlevation?  Masy take a trip to about 8000 feet.

I live at 5,000 ft. & routinely ride to 9,000 with several trips a year to 11,000 & 12,000 ft.  I leave my carbs adjusted for the 5,000 ft. elevation of home.  The only thing I've done to them is install 135s in the air jets.  All other jetting remains stock.  The same settings worked at 1,000 ~ 2,000 ft. in California a couple years ago.  You will notice a drop in performance as you climb.  Mine gets noticeably weaker at about 10,000 ft.  May run a little rich as you climb but the occasional rev will take care of it.

If you have an accident on a motorcycle, it's always your fault. Tough call, but it has to be that way. You're in the right, and dead -on a bike. The principle is not to have any accident. If you're involved in an an accident, it's because you did not anticipate. Then, by default, you failed.
