YellowJacket!

I've been a bit tired of seeing only my shoulders in my mirrors and decided to look for some "new and improved" views for my Vision.  I found a pair of mirrors at Dennis Kirk made by a company called Napoleon.  They are the wide angle type and look a lot like the 83's but on standard stalks.  They arrived today and I promptly set to putting them on but had to remove the fairing to be able to screw them into the stalks. (they kept hitting the windscreen)
Once they were on, Lo! and behold!  NO more shoulders!  The have an excellent view and are not distorted.  They have a better "angular" appearance which goes along with the lines of the Vision.

Heres some pics:

Oh, ignore the messy garage.  My daughter had to move some of her junk back home.

And, thats YellowJackets "euro tank" sitting on her awaiting paint.  ;D

Those mirrors look great!  Nice to hear they work well.  I'll be getting something different for Tractor & those were among the ones I was considering.

If you have an accident on a motorcycle, it's always your fault. Tough call, but it has to be that way. You're in the right, and dead -on a bike. The principle is not to have any accident. If you're involved in an an accident, it's because you did not anticipate. Then, by default, you failed.

Napoleon also makes excellent Bar end Mirrors that provide a great rearward view! ;)

Dave,

The problem with only seeing your shoulder has bugged me since I bought my "V" (new in 82). I would love to replace these things with something with a wider view.

Are these the mirrors that you purchased?

Did you need to buy the optional left hand thread adapter to fit a Yamaha?

Thanks,
