Just took my spare '82 tank to a locksmith to have its' gas cap removed.  Cap removal and production of two spare keys took him 20 minutes and cost me $20.00.  He says that the blank he used is for a Dodge Colt automobile.

I don't know if this blank would work for an ignition key.  However, seeing as how our bikes have all their locks keyed alike from the factory, I see no reason to think that an ignition key could not be created from this blank.  FYI.

Cheers.

Ps: The 2.4 litre Scion ti can be had with a superchager.  It should Rock.

I was unaware of dealer blank availability and just ask the locksmith to make me two copies of the key after he got the lock off the tank.  Colt blanks are what he had that he found to work.
