I went up to the 100/90 when I replaced the tire the first time.  It was recommended by the shop I got the tire from.  They said the construction of the 90/90 was much weaker than the 100/90.  However, that was a long time ago & I've noticed that the construction details of the bigger name tires show the same construction for both 90/90 & 100/90.  The 90/90 still won't carry quite as much weight so it may be a good idea to upsize with a full fairing.  Just my $0.02.

If you have an accident on a motorcycle, it's always your fault. Tough call, but it has to be that way. You're in the right, and dead -on a bike. The principle is not to have any accident. If you're involved in an an accident, it's because you did not anticipate. Then, by default, you failed.
