New development in engine problem

Ok, so decided to do some more poking at my engine today while I'm waiting for new head gaskets to arrive.  I took the clutch pack off and I can spin the transmission!  I had figured that I broke a shift fork or something along those lines, but I guess not.  Waiting to get my hands on a 22mm wrench to start pulling the cams and heads off, so it'll be interesting to see what's going on...

Got one head off, and the other part way.  Stupid 8mm hex bolts....  broke a socket, breaker bar, and a wrench trying to get them off, so I decided that someone was trying to tell me to quit for today.  Didn't see anything on front cylinder, but the piston was down on that side.  So maybe I'll see something on the rear...  back at it again tomorrow!  :-\
