... and pause as needed, you can see this racer (Jonathan Rae) on top of his handlebars staying away from the fire as he's going into the corner. If it were me at that speed I'm sure I would have panacked. Here's what he has to say:

"I'm so frustrated because we were just about there on race pace and everything was feeling really good," the Northern Irishman said. "Early in the afternoon's session, I was in turn three and winding it on when I suddenly felt the rear squirming and then I realised the bike was on fire. Basically I had to get off it quickly and unfortunately it was at 130mph, which is quick enough. My finger and wrist are sore – in fact I'm pretty sore all over – but I'm still waiting for the final diagnosis."

This is a guy who loves his sport.

Re-Vision

Saw a video once of Kenny Roberts getting off a bike at over a hundred miles an hour when something locked-up, he came off the bike without the slightest hesitation. Reckon these guys figured out what they ought to do long before the events occurred.    BDC
