Watch out for ozone!

 A friend of mine with a big motorcycle shop had to throw out a bunch of brand new tires because he had stored them next to his very busy air compressor. They had developed cracks from the ozone that the electric motor generated. This was news to me, but I guess it's common knowledge to electrical engineers. So I guess keep your bike away from your refrigerator and air compressor. Anything else generate ozone?

That is correct! Do not store any rubber material next to electrical componets. I work for a printing company and from my training it warns about storing the rubber rollers near any electrical componets. Primarily electrical motors. Good advice!
