Hi,  I replaced the stator and voltage regulator.  Getting ready to try and start it for the first time.  When I hook up the battery it sparks and blows a 30amp fuse that has an orange wire.  ??  Checked the ground wire?  Lost

Check to be sure that you are not trying to hook up the battery backwards.  If that's not the case, somewhere along the way you connected a wire that is supposed to be grounded to a wire that is suposed to be positive.

Unplug the regulator and remove all fuses except the 30 Amp, with ignition switch off.  Reconnect battery, if fuse is still good turn on ignition switch, if still good reconnect regulator, if still good replace fuses one at a time until everything works or the fuse blows. Simply trying to isolate whatever circuit that is drawing too much current.     BDC

When you hook up the battery up right it makes a bid difference!  Thanks!!!
