Title: Trip Advice

Planing the first long trip on the vision. From Chicago to Vegas. What spare parts would you recomend i take along with me to get me there. Not realy worried about coming back

extreem: Stator, r/r, oil, gaskett, DVOM

Normal: flat repair kit & pump, bulbs, fuses, carb cleaner, tools, soldering torch, electrical tape, wd-40

Ah yes, I too have felt the urge to push her (the bike... just to clarify!!) into the desert......

Don't ever leave home without a known good spare TCI box.  It will easily fit in the tool kit tail light area.

You can lean a Vision against a tree, remove the alternator cover and replace the stator, and the oil won't spill out.

Yamaha must have anticipated this repair and planned ahead.

Add: Duct tape, set of spark plugs, high temp silicone, grease, 5 min. epoxy glue.
