New stator in and working great.
Mounted r/r up front to the rad shroud.
Will it get to hot and melt the shroud ?

shouldn't do, if it was hot enough on the outside to melt the plastic of the shroud then it would be hot enough inside to melt a few other things and stop working.
the shroud covers a pretty hot radiator, should take the little bit of heat the r/r puts out.

I think the plastic on the shroud is similar to the plastic the battery box is made of.  If it didn't melt the battery box, it shouldn't melt the shroud.

If you have an accident on a motorcycle, it's always your fault. Tough call, but it has to be that way. You're in the right, and dead -on a bike. The principle is not to have any accident. If you're involved in an an accident, it's because you did not anticipate. Then, by default, you failed.

I ahd mine there for a while , you won't run into a melting problem.
