Hi all

Just messing about with some old air cooled Suzuki trail bikes, while the weather is too bad outside to ride the Vision. The oil leak after fitting an oil cooler seems to be cured after using a flexible sealer where the union fits into the motor. Now it's
raining so hard you need the wipers on #3 speed!

I've heard Suzuki's (TS185) cannot safely be ridden on pre mix (unlike Yams), since they have a seperate oil feed to one of the crank bearings, which is not washed with petrol. I'm not sure how true this is, or wether it applies to the twins only? My bike is  a real basic 1990 air cooled model. Any advice anyone please? ???

Kevin

The Suzuki oil injection system "cci" feeds oil directly to the left crank bearing. it is a bulletproof unit that to disable woud be a step backwards. It can be done, you have to split the cases and remove the oil slinger on the left half of the crank.

Ta Kevin, I'll run it on the pump to avoid damage.
