I got the Haynes manual, but it contains no details for the driveshaft.

I was wondering if anyone had the shop manuals used to repair the driveshaft or the TCI.

Thanks.

Driveshaft info is in the Yamaha manual. i have it on CD if you need it, along with the Haynes manual, Yamaha parts fiche & wiring diagram. email me if you need it.

there is no published info on repairing the TCI, but Leather has done a lot of research into this, see his site here:

I only really need the info on the driveshaft parts within the engine case.

A friend in my machining class, who works on SV's and customs, is willing to help me do a chain conversion if I decide to and I wanted to see what I can hack/modify/save, what goes and what specs I should be looking for(so I can sound reasonably intelligent when I talk to him), etc.

I should to be able to tackle something like this within a year or so when I have fairly extensive CNC and MIG experience, and in the mean time I like to plan out as much as I can.

My buddy also speaks highly of the Vision's engine, just as a FIY.  ;D
