It all started because he 3D printed a sample product for a local company, and it took 12 hours to print. It was great and they loved it, so they asked for a dozen more. Yikes! He needed a way to create copies quickly, and while 3D printing is a ton faster than traditional prototyping, it's too slow for small production runs. So he conceived this machine, bounced his ideas off of our makerspace, reached out to resin suppliers, etc. and now it's a real product and he can make these pieces in 6 minutes.
A pretty cool success story, and a neat tool for anyone with an interest in that sort of thing.
