Title: Do roadbikes fit in people movers?
Post by: MikeScoot on September 23, 2020, 06:21:45 AM

I'm driving around in a full sie Ford sedan recently, and it's great - apart from fuel cost and having to use a trailer to move bikes.
I'm wondering whether anyone knows if roadbikes can fit inside things like Toyota Taragos and Kia Carnivals. Those people movers are pretty good buying value here in Australia when compared to commercial-type vans and also pretty good for day to day use.

It will be tight.  Perhaps with the bars and mirrors off.

Here's a GS550 in a Previa I found on the nets

Thanks POD.
Just this morning I was talking with a local wholesaler and he has an 2008 Estima (import from Japan also known as Tarago or Previa in other countries - albeit with different bells and whistles) at a paint shop now. Has about 150,000 on the clock and probably not too bad a buy at 10,000 Aus Dollars. Will have a look when it's back from the paint joint. Supposed to be fully optioned with skirts.
The Merc Vitos also look to be pretty good buying. They are bigger but a bit more 'bare bones'.
