:o Sunday 11th February, Minus temp's and snow on the ground...No better time to start organizing our spring ride ;) Let me know if your interested and if the information that is set out is good for you...It should give every-one plenty of time to get the cobweb's out of their Vision and themselves ;D :D :D :D

:) Date....Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th MAY 2007
(will revise according to the weather, if required)

:) Time............................9.30 a.m.

:) Place...........................Tim Hortons. Highway 401 and Trafalger Road.

:) Directions......From the East(Trenton,Kingston,Brighton,etc) you head West, right across the top of the city to the west side. Once you get to Trafalger Road , Exit 401 and head SOUTH (turn left !). When you reach the traffic lights,approx' 1/4 mile,? Tim Hortons is on your right, next to a Pioneer gas station.? ?8)

:) From the West (St.Thomas,Sarnia,Windsor,etc) head East on Highway 401. As you reach Milton ( from London,Cambridge,Guelph.....Milton) you will pass Hwy 25,James Snow Parkway and then Trafalger Road. Exit 401 and head SOUTH (turn right !). Tim Hortons is on your immediate right, next to a Pioneer gas station 8)

The ride info'...road's, pit stop's, overnight accommodation, etc, will come as we get further along the line... ;)

Count me in! Definitely, something to set our sights on.  We will have to do some route planning and waterhole selection.  We might want to start a bit earlier than 10am as you know how it can be, we end up leaving about lunch time.  We should do breakfast at about 8AM (maybe Denny's on Hwy. 10 just north of the 401 in Mississauga might be a good place to start.

Somebody on the site made a comment about a Vision getogether in Colorado this year. When ? where ? Do you camp ? are there motels near by ? How many show up for this event ? Some years ago, when the Venture was still in production, there was an event called Vdayze, It was mostly a Venture/ Vmax event, I went to one in New Mexico and about 20/25 Visions showed up. It was around 1990.

I am organizing a 25 year anniversary celebration for June in Colorado.  The location is Fraser - about 5 miles West of Winter Park.  Lots of great riding in the area including the highest paved through road (Trail Ridge Road over 12,000 ft.) & the highest paved road (Mt. Evans - over 14,000 ft.) in North America.  Also, a long day riding over the Snowy Range Road in Southern Wyoming.  Not to mention Berthoud Pass, Loveland Pass, Willow Creek Pass and other great rides as the group(s) see fit.

Dates:  June 17 - 23, 2007.  I am currently negotiating with a property management company for reserving condos.  As soon as I have firm prices and deposit info, I will post it.  Look for more details in the next week or two.

:) As it stands, at present, we have eight committed to the spring ride. However, we are still a few member's, who live in the province M.I.A. Boys and girls, its our 25th anniversary year and therefore need to take the Vision show on the road. I intend getting hold of the local press, mag's, Yamaha, etc...So, contact those in and around you to garner as much interest as we can... 8)

Okay boys and girls I have an idea for Saturday morning since I am in the hosting area for the spring ride.  If you would like, I can host a Pancake breakfast with bacon and maple syrup, all you can drink coffee, and my own homemade recipe.

Every thing will be served up hot at 9AM on Saturday morning.  I am easily accessible from the 401 (at Mississauga Road).  This is just 12km east of our Trafalgar Road and 401 connection place that Tiger suggested.

Hi all.
Havent been on the site for ages. I am currently recovering from facebook addiction and this is the first time I have ventured to anywhere but facebook  in a while. I am going to say were in.  V is having some starting problems but Im hoping it has to do with the fact that its still pretty cold. Once the warm weather gets here we should get them ironed out in no time.   ;D

Cold starts are tough fiddlesticks, the cold increases the starter draw which quickly knocks the voltage down and by the time the Vision is ready with fuel and fire the TCI cuts out because the voltage is too low to fire it.  A good warm day and everything fires up fine!

Here's hoping we don't have snow in May!

This would be something I'd love to come to, but I don't really think my bike will be done in less than three weeks.  It'd be a nice ride, though.  Maybe next year.  I was lazy and skipped a couple pages of this thread, but do you guys have a route planned, yet?

I'll definitely keep that in mind if the project happens to go quicker or easier than planned, but I try to always expect the worst so I don't crush any hopes.  :D

We will eventually end up at my place for a B.B.Q. wobbly pop's, a few laughs and just chill out...Oh, brush up on your Vision owners manual, there will be a quizzzzzzz. prizes will be awarded...lol

Last year we had a great time with superb weather and NO accident's...We will, of course, ride in formation and observe the rule's of the rode, as last year.

Hey all Vision owners headed north this weekend!  ;D

Change in plans for Saturday morning meeting place.  We are meeting at Cdn-Lou's in Mississauga at 9AM for a great pancake breakfast with lots of fixin's.  Real Canadian maple syrup, sizzling bacon, gourmet coffee and my own special pancake recipe.

Please note we will not be meeting at 9:30AM at the Tim Horton's on Trafalgar and the 401.

We are not far from the Trafalgar site:  Coming East from Windsor (on the 401) or west from Toronto, you exit Mississauga Road (turn right at ramp light).  So if you coming west from Toronto you exit Mississauga Road and turn left onto it.  Everyone goes south on Erin Mills to Millcreek Drive and turn right on Millcreek.  Next light turn left on Aquitaine Avenue, next light turn right on Montevideo and .25km to 2491 Trondheim Crescent (on the right).

I am very close to the 401 so this is a quick off and you are at my place in about 5 minutes.

Agreed. I very nice ride indeed, and the weather could not have been more cooperative. Also what a great turn out. I have never seen so many V's in my life. Anyone who has pix from the parts we missed, feel free to email them to me .

8) Thanks to all who came out on a beautiful riding day on Saturday but a chilly Sunday 8) Thank's go to CanadianLou and his wife Jane for a great breakfast to start Saturday off... 8) and to CanadianLou/Lead_Deficiency for there rolls as road captain's, NightVision, who made the six hour journey to be with us all, Wolf, Kenny/Dorothy, FiddleSticks/Sandy and our newest member Little_Blaster, also to Barrie on his GoldWing, who, most of the time was the tail gunner, Brian_Mathewson who came to the Saturday breakfast but was unable to ride as the injuries he sustained from his wee "spill" last year are still giving him trouble AND a big thanks to my wife, Cathy, for all her help and participation... 8)

:) A great week-end spent with great people... 8) Look forward to the next OnROV ride, where-ever it may be... 8)

??? I don't think so Lucky...even camera's seemed to be at a premium ::) but we will get some pictures up here...right gang!!!... 8)

                                           

  A big thanks to the Hosts, The Meals where Superb! the Rides Excellent! And holding the "Sun" up was real Magic! It was nice to see everyone again & meeting Canadian Louie, Jane & Tigers other half Kathy!
   We had a nice ride back to Wooler & even the Traffic on the 401 was O.K..
         Oh for an Encore!!m  p.s. please keep the recipes to a min. ;)

here's most of the V's at revelry... all filled up and raring to go (filled with delicious food that is) That's Barrie's Goldwing on the right end that he bought original in '76 and has had it for 31 years... Canadian Lou's V is still asleep in the garage, and we haven't met up with Wolf yet

at least you got pics that have the eight visions in one place  :)
it's tough to see canadian_lou's V behind L_D's and in front of Wolf's silver V, and Dorothy's is parked on the road, not in the parking lot, but there they are!
