Hi there, how often do you see two black and gold '83s together? Pullshocks (Mark) lives about 20 miles away and came over Saturday to talk V's and go for a short spin. Very nice guy, nice V as well. We didn't have time for a long one but took a quick trip up a winding mountain road. Was fun and looking forward to next time. It's fun when your ridding buddy says "I'll be over in an hour if it starts" and then when he gets here you say "I'll bring the bike right out... I HOPE".

Yeah that was cool. F-D definitely knows his way around bikes and other things mechanical. I learned a lot, including how sweet the red 82's look in person.
We've got to find out where GPH lives and see how his stator work is coming along.
I racked up about 120 miles that day, my first real ride. Had a blast, and feel much more confident riding. I even got on the 4 lane highway on the way home.
Mechanically, the rear exhaust y-pipe came loose during the ride, and I experienced some clutch slipping. Weird, as I had done the clutch adjustment down below, according to the Haynes manual. Guess I have to re-check.
