Title: painting 82
Post by: Kevin on March 15, 2008, 09:21:24 PM
My son 'Dustin' has been riding his 82 for 2 years now without the lowers and sporting a large dent in the left side of the tank. He's not as good in the corners as he thinks. :o  I'm in the process of prepping the body work for painting. We are probably going with a graphite color.    Anyway I'm installing stainless steel mesh behind the vent holes in the lowers. The mesh looks like house gutter stuff. Always something new to try on these old bikes.

:) Kevin, try a piece behind the black plastic rad' housing...Looks neat but also helps to keep stones, etc away from the rad' fin's...
