The Ca Rov was pretty active back in 2004-2010
This group shot is at Pine Grove California. We went for a great ride over two sierra passes, Ebbett's and Carson.
Had a great dinner Saturday night and did a shorter Sunday ride before everyone departed.

The circus has moved to COTA and the sprint is in the books. The GP is in 3 hours. One thing that I don't expect to change is Yamaha and Honda will bring up the rear. Can Aprilia last a full race? We'll know in 4 hours.

Good to hear that you're still riding. I haven't been able to for the last year or so as I have lost a lot of my sense of balance. Anyway, continue to enjoy.

Historic Gold Rush town of Colterville was the original stage route to Yosemite. At the corner of hwy 49 and 132
It is amazing rideng in any direction. I've been here many time since 1970 when I got my first bike.

I met Artbone there in 2012, Went again in 2018 with Ron McCoy. Rode parade laps both times. First time with Sheriffs car pacing us at 35 MPH was a waste other than seeing the track.Second time they paced us with VFR Hondas and was able to get up to 100 mph, way more fun.
I had completed an engine swap the night before we departed.

Goin Ridin'... / some old rides
Last post by VisionMeister - April 08, 2024, 10:54:14 PM
The area around Yosemite is full of wonderful backroads. Cottonwood road to Cherry Lake used to be one of my favorites until it got burned out by a devasting wildfire. 30 miles in and 30 miles out, no services or towns. I rode it four times in two weeks in 2012, burned in 2014.
Hwy 120 goes up an incredible grade to Groveland, about 40 miles from the Park gate. Two roads, the old grade and the new one are on opposite sides of major ravine with a good burger joint at the top and the the Mocassin fish Hatchery at the bottom. You can run laps if you so desire. I like the new grade for the smooth pavement and more predictable turns
Picture of my Ducati ss, rode the Vision here many times

If you've read through the previous posts and still haven't gotten an Ignitech TCI, I certainly can't help you.

Well, the site is back up and the season is 2 races old. Things have changed. Martin is leading the points. Acosta is the new wonder kid. He rode to a well deserved 3rd place after passing Marquez and Bagnaia. Vinales gifted him 3rd when the Aprilia had gear box problems and caused him to crash on the last lap.

ok, back to trying to get this to work.  I believe I have eliminated switch (clutch, side stand.   Does anyone have a known/working TCI ignitor?  Or, I believe I read of an after market option.  The fact that I don't see a single spart when I turn on the ignition seems to be a problem.  Of course, no spart when cranking it either.

thank you
