I've got the case apart ...and the stator seems to look ok....... I can see the coppery look at all the ends clearly.... and nothing seems melty.    I havent done the tests yet..... but I'm sure it would pass........ as it worked fine last I rode.        But with all the stator problem hype I"m scared.        I know Lucky recommends replacing stator and r/r to avoid tearing apart case again but very expensive.       Dont the stators go bad at about 7000mi.     or is it more about the corrosion factor at cons.         I guess I'm just looking for so reassurance again.        Why do i get the feeling it will go bad as soon as I get it back together?        Advice Please ....so I have someone to blame besides myself.......just kidding :D :D :D

If it doesn't look black and crispy/charred, and it passes the continuity test, declare victory and reassemble.  It's not expensive to r and r a stator (excepting the cost of the new stator).  It's just kind of a pain in the butt.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!
