Riders Of Vision

Hop aboard my train of frustration today:

I bought 70 dollars worth of CB parts from a guy on ebay
He doesnt ship them for a week, claims "long work week"
I wait a long, long time for the parts
I email him yesterday "dood wurs ma partz!?"
He emails me back "dood thur deliverd on the 19th UPSTRACKINGNUMBER####"
I email back "Noes thur not"
He emails "mmkay wats ur phone number ups lost needs um"
UPS says on the tracking my package got here on the 19th
I never recieved the package
This is a problem

Theres a few scenarios:
1) Ups never actually delivered it, i dont see this happening so
2) Ups delivered it to the wrong house, meaning the driver was having a bad day
3) If the package was delivered to the wrong house, said home owner is a jerk for not bringing it by the right house
4) The package was actually delivered here, and i lost it. Unlikely as its probably a pretty big box (side covers, headlight pieces etc)

Heres what frustrates me:
1) I have no way of proving i'm not just trying to screw ups out of money
2) UPS likely has a pretty solid CYA policy reguarding these sorts of things
3) The guy waited a freakin week to ship something i bought, that's lame on so many levels
4) Hypothetical home owner is a jerk for not bringing my package by, plus, theres no way to find out which house it went to
5) I don't have my cb parts
6) I spent all that time i could have spent fixing my bike, waiting for parts that ultimately i'd never get
7) I have to wait almost a week for my por15 kit (its not related to this post, but it still stinks :P)

Alright i found it, never mind. It's a red heater box that doesnt at all look like something you'd ship something in. Parents recieved it but never bothered to tell me.

I have had packages delivered to the wrong house before and homowner took their sweet time to rectify the problem.  Once was a homeowner just a few houses down that took the package to a UPS dropoff rather than my house.
I have had packages stolen before.
Fortunately, I know my UPS guy pretty well.  He's a big time MC enthusiast and has taken a couple lunch breaks in my garage to tinker on the V with me.

It makes me mad when ebay sellers take a week or more to ship something. I usually box it up and have it ready to go just after I post it.  Then all I have to do is put a label on it and send it off.

Aye, well i have the parts alright, but theres SO many little pieces of hardware, plates, screws, adjusters and so forth that i'm still missing. This is why i like when someone sells an assembly instead of individual parts. Generally when someone buys a headlight bucket they need the hardware/brackets that come in it.

yup, dave tn ships quick,,, just as quick as my lil broken down butt gets him the dough!
a few others ship even before i got them paid, thanks to all !

sorry davetn, and anyone else i got stuff from,, that lil trip to the doctor for the neck bone upgrade really taxed my ability to be a human being .

speaking of which- any of you medical types know why radio tower near my shop is creating such a pain in my neck now?  am good for about four hours, then cant stand to be around that area at all.once about two miles from the tower, it stops and all is fine .is almost like a vibration,or low frequency hum --
