Well I have now ridden the bike, it rides very nice, the rear end is somewhat elevated, it's just a first impression but it did seem like bumps I would feel in the front forks I didn't feel at all in the rear-but I need more riding time. However this maynot be for everyone, first, short people may not want to try this you could be on tippy toes at the stop light, second, the center stand barely works, you will see in the picture that I parked it using a 2x8 and as Ina previously stated, you want to use a piece of 2x4 with the side stand, third, see the crow bars on the floor, I needed those to install it and for awhile I wasn't sure I would ever get it done.  But, it sure rides nice, I'm really interested to see how it will do with a passenger and the material was resonably priced.  Time will tell, here's a last picture.

It's sooooo nice with a passenger. Old shock would bottom out constantly with the gf on and the preload jacked. With the yzf shock i upped it one click on the preload and it never bottomed out.

the additional length is probably why others fabbed a front mount... Glyn and was it Superfly? did that and might be able to offer measurements.

like I said Don, a lower profile tire might help a bit too

Raj, I took pictures, downsized em for the forum, and then my d_m computer won't hook up to the internet last night. So a verbal reply only, that is a Vetter Bullet, although it fits a square headlight it has a rounded shape. Now I bought this in the late 80's at a bargin price-I don't think they sold too well and were sort of being dumped-but a search on Google yesterday showed Vetter made about 5000 of em from about 1982-1985 and they are no bargin price now it appears.

The little faring only weighs a few pounds but has proved quite strong and mounts easy, and has some adjustability to it. However, and here the picture I took would have showed, I have it pulled up higher then the headlight opening would normally mount and have a piece of tin covering up what would otherwise be a hole. I did this to get it higher enough to do me some good. Even at that the wind hits me about eye level and makes my HJC helmet noisy. The shape of this Vetter does not really match the lines of the Vision but it does block out wind over my chest and gives me something to duck down behind-better then being naked.

Well road the V again Tuesday, does nice, I think it turns in alittle quicker, I think this is going to work out (for me anyway) real nice. You know I was thinking since I had to compress this to get it in, it's sort of like already turning the spring presets to harder I would think. Well I plan to ride it again tommorrow.

Hope none of you are like the Harley guy I observed on the way to work this morning (sorry, from the cage) passing multiply cars first in a no passing zone, then with traffic coming, he was not only being a jerk but most likely irritated alot of people AND the traffic was moving along at a legal to slightly over speed limit anyway, there was really no need for him to get stupid. Oh well!
