In one of a recent posts people were mentioning insurance costs.
So I was wondering what yearly cost we have to keep our Visions on the road around the world ?
In the UK we have road tax which for under 600cc is 50 GBP/year, Ministry of transport test @ 30 GBP/year.
I have just insured my bike after searching on-line and got a quote for 61 GBP with 30GBP cash back for a fully comprehensive policy. the other main cost is petrol @1.18 GBP/Litre.
So if I average 5000 miles/year and the bike does a ball park figure of 50 MPG that's 100 gals or 455litres @ 1.18 GBP  = 536.9 GBP/year in fuel.
So excluding service costs I've got a bill of 647.9 GBP/year or approx 960 USD.
Cheap or expensive compared to your country ?

The registration costs $20. and change a year here in AZ. The insurance is  $95.00 a year . Gas is $2.89 a gallon right now (probably will go up due the the mess in the Carribean )  3 oil changes a year at 25.00 each.  Tyres are good for 2 years or more, so figure $100. per year for them.
I do about 5000 miles a year
!00 gallons at $2.89 = $289.00
$289.00
$ 20.00
$100.00
$ 95.00
$ 75.00
$569.00

two oil changes=$30

total around $437.50 ~$0.10/mile  not bad... a typical sunday ride costs me $25 and that's mostly gas

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!

Let's see:

Insurance :  $ 99.00 / yr
Tags/Reg :  $198.00    Good for 2 years.  I got historic plates. With this, no inspection or assoc. fees, but limited to parades, shows, and "occasional transportation."    sweet.

That's really it.

The registration will be cheaper after 2 years, because I wont need tags as well.

For me it is different, I am a new rider.  I spent much more on helmet, gloves, gear, repairs, etc. than I did on the bike. Oil is a b*ch, especially when I don't get a chance to use it.   I still have my learners, the M class cost 30 bucks, and when I take the test it will be another 30 or 35.  I've put one tank of gas in it, and probably have put as much of it on the garage floor as I've burnt.

All in all, for the non-bike, yearly costs, it's pretty cheap.
