Welll..... I stripped the threads while doing an oil filter change. Seems like a helicoil is a good solution to this.

What size helicoil will i need to get and What size socket head bolts?

:) The soc' head cap screw is an M6 -1.00 x 20mm. However, I have come across the same problem and installed an M6 x 25mm soc' head cap screw. you will need a washer or cut the screw down by a couple of mm. Works like a charm... ;)

A heli coil, or thread repair kit is sold by size, and thread pitch, the oil filter cap is held on by 6X1.0 cap screws, 1.0 is the thread pitch, that is 1 thread per MM.  .75 is also a common 6MM screw pitch, be shure to get the right one.  A 20MM long screw is useally a hardware store screw.

Most Honda dealers have some odd length screws, I have gotten 22 MM long 6MM screws from the local dealer.

No .75/mm is still metric, it means the pitch ( tip of one thread to the tip of the next ) is 0.75mm long as opposed to the standard 1.00mm
