Apart from the MV Augusta Brutale, there aren't many modern bikes that get me excited. The Honda Shadow looks kind of nice and I like the CB1000R. The last generation Interceptor is an uninvolving, dull ride. There, I said it. I like Beemers but don't think they're worth the money new. Triumph Street Triple? I dislike the headlights, the old bug-eyes or the new abstract whatevers. Ducati Monster? My wife says they look "kinda gay"! SV650? Not a beautiful bike but probably fun. The Versys? Let's just say I'm hoping Kawasaki restyles it. How about Moto Guzzi? I always say life's too short not to drive Italian so maybe one's in my future. As for chains, now that I have good o-ring ones on my XS650 and 400F (a 520 chain conversion), I rarely think about, adjust, lube or clean them anymore. They're a lot better than they used to be. The shaft-drive is one of the Vision's many virtues.
