I was reading about windscreen molding posts that reckon wrote last fall and saw that a few members were interested in him making fairing windscreens for them.  I too am interested as I am recieving 2 '83 fairings this week without windscreens.  Does anyone know how to contactct him outside of this forum?  He seems to be the polycarbonatemeister around here and we sure could use his molding experience.

I'd be interested as well- I sent him a 83 fairing windscreen he could use as a pattern and haven't heard from him since >:( >:(

Looks like that when I get my two fairings later this week I'll have to try and use his technique of fashioning a few windscreen prototypes.  I actualy was thinking of using a piece of chromed sheetmetal but then when someone said that plexiglass is a bunch of little knives all sharded up, that made me realize that the metal will actually be a guillatine if I ever tipped over the frontend.  Looks like not all ideas are great ones no mater how economical they maybe. ::)

vasdaz- skip the thoughts of "lots of little knives" and such,, swing by a local BOAT shop, ask guy there to knock you a windscreen out ,, chances are, if you provide 3/16 lexan , or buy the stock from him, you can get it done spot on,custom fit and relatively cheap.    i am in the south, and there are a lot of places to get that done, as there are way , way too many bass boats getting dumped into the local waters.  a good many end up with faded or cracked screens, and they just make them on site  at most boat shops.
keep your bike running, your beer cold ,and your passport handy.all are like money in the bank .

Thanks Kia, we're 40 miles from the river , but we do have one boat shop. If that fails I'll head down to Bullhead, there got to be a bunch down there.
