Well my trip to Minneapolis, St Paul, MN is now history. I drove over 850 miles and am glad to say my Vision ran as good as I can ever remember it running.  I was abit disappointed in my gas mileage, I only ended up with 41 mpg-I did 47 on a similar trip two years ago-I don't know why, I would guess I drove faster (the Vision loved it at 70 mph) and I had some head winds, frankly, the bike runs great, starts well, I'm not going to worry about it (but feel free to give me ideas if you have them).

Here are some pictures with some explanation lines in each picture,  Enjoy.

Great pix, Don!  Those steel grate bridges can be fun on a bike.

I knew there was some "O" gauge track that wasn't typical 3 rail Lionel type, but I've never seen it before.  Looks like a great layout.  If you ever make it back to CO, the Railroad museum in Golden is well worth a stop.  Lots of cool stuff outside - including a couple "Galloping Geese".  In the basement, there's a good sized HO layout.  I've thought about building an "N" or even "Z" scale layout of a large switching yard inside a glass top coffee table.  Was thinking of a North Platte copy as then I could have a couple Big Boys & Challengers to move around.   ;D  Seems like it would be more fun to play switching cars around than just letting things go around a layout.

Glad you had a good time.  Your fuel mileage could be just the headwinds & slightly higher speed.  Were you loaded a little heavier than the last time?  It could even be the rolling resistance of the different tires.  You might also still be riding your rear brake a bit.  Just some ideas to ponder.

If you have an accident on a motorcycle, it's always your fault. Tough call, but it has to be that way. You're in the right, and dead -on a bike. The principle is not to have any accident. If you're involved in an an accident, it's because you did not anticipate. Then, by default, you failed.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!

'82 Vision, Pearl Orange finish, lots of up-grades!!!

I currently have a 4x8 HO layout in my basement. At this time it's pretty much just track, I figure this is a multi year winter time project. I figured my little grand kids will want to see action at their current ages, so I have it set up so two trains can run at the same time.  Hopefully after this winter it will be quite abit more detailed.  Now the train solves a problem for the kids, gee what do we get dad for X-mas, bd, father's day, oh we can add to the train set!

"tanks" for the adventure pics ,,, that should be your avitar!  :D

I can't give ANYONE grief about weight.   ;D

I agree with Night Vision - use the tank photo for your avitar or signature!  That's funny.

The tank as you may guess sits in front of a court house, this one in Tekamah, NE, a County just north of the County I live in-all in fun, just so happened our client intake clerk was working our office in that town on Thursday morning on my ride up so I had someone to hold the camera and take pictures.

Good to see you riding your Vision and enjoying it; As it was meant to vee.
Those old steam engines remind me of the old relics lying around the gold country here in Calif.; A symbol of a different age.
Someday our old motorcycles will be displayed outside of bars and diners and museums and people will stop and look and tell their kids stories of when they had to fill up at the gas station.
I love the smell of petrol in the morning.
