Rick G

Back in 1998 or so , on one of the previous versions of this forum , there were two Ricks . One was Rick Laffer, who lived in Tasmania and who's bike burned down in his shed as a result of a brush fire. To avoid confusion I used my last initial .

vadasz1

I chose mine.  VADASZ is Hungarian for HUNTER and the 1 is just because I noticed on a few other sites that I visit that VADASZ with no numbers was taken so I just added the number 1 to the end of it.

I just remembered that a good number of years ago a cop stops me because I had dark tinted license plate covers on my car.  He asked me if my license plate, VADASZ, was a play on the word BADASS.  Well I thought for a second if I should really be a BADASS but better judgement prevailed and I just explained to him that it was Hungarian for HUNTER.  He let me go with a warning to take it off when I got home.  But I never did and to this day it is still on my car.  So I AM a BADASS then.  ;)

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!

Sorry mate but you better get your spelling right or your father might just slap you on the back of the head.

The correct spelling for the meal is VADAS.  It usually is sliced moose roast with bread dumplings.  And topped of with a carrot puree sauce.

Re-Vision

I too once commented on your name by calling you "badass" thinking it was Spanish and the Mexicans around here don't seem to differentiate between V's and B's. I wonder if the name Vadasz is shared in Spanish speaking countries or if they have Hungarians like the U.S. and Canada?   BDC

VFan

VFan is obviously short for being fan of the Visions; which must be a rare trait here in Utah because no one around here seems to recognize this bike is or remembers when they came out

Raj1988

Well i began as s3sriniv which was my school barcode, and moved to the current one because Tiger decided to chop of the first 2 letters of my name  ;D, and it kind of stuck. Most of the OnRov know me as Raj!!!!!

My nickname came from the job I retired from.  I trained salespeople to sell software and an on-line catalog service and was hired mainly because my mfg eng'r background helped the sales guys communicate with their customers.  Once when I was shadowing a sales guy on his call, the customer asked if we'd like to tour the plant, and I piped up, sure, I'm basically a shop rat at heart! The sales guy started calling me that and I've used it on several on-line forums                                              .

spectre

I got my screen name from an older video game called "socom" wich I used to play online, "spectre" is another word for ghost. many people pronounce it, "spektrah", but that's incorrect, it's really pronounced "spekter". 8) I also use it on another forum. ;)

Extent

My nic goes way back to when I was in middle school.  I was setting up my first email account (Juno dial up) I was just going to use my name but my mother insisted that it be something gender neutral.  After a little back and forth she suggested Extent, which I thought was alright.  It has an X in it afterall, and that's a pretty cool letter :p.  I've used Extent ever since.

Back when I used to play half life deathmatch and the early days of counter strike I would go by the nic TK-421 in game.  When I end up somewhere and Extent is already taken (It actually happens!) I'll use Extent421

When I was beta testing an MMO back in about '01 I made up my character Sierra Langly, but they had a 3rd spot for a "nickname" for the character.  Not thinking of anything particularly clever I put in Sie and it grew on me over time.  Now in games I generally use Sie as my name, and if that's too short I'll lengthen it to Siiee (which is where you'll find me in Eve Online today :D )
Rider1>No wonder, the Daytona has very sharp steering and aggressive geometry.  It's a very difficult bike for a new rider.

They have mooses in Hungary?!?

Or was that a recipe cooked up by the Maine Hungarians, like the New York Chinese invented Chop Suey?

Recipe:  Shoot one moose.   Skin it and gut it.   Add paprika....

Hey, the daughter of a dear friend married a Hungarian gentleman and they moved back to Budapest.   I hear nothing but wonderful reports about the country and its people.   But nothing yet about mooses...
