I've already purchased forks.....
..................am up for any suggestions that improve the bike.....

as long as you have the front end that far down... I would suggest fork seals (about $18 @ NAPA) and tapered steering head bearings (less than $50 Dennis Kirk)

wiring harness, TCI (good you have that), a broken petcock, coils, ignition lines, throttle cable.  beyond that I couldn't tell.  The TCI is hopefully good, check the coils (they're expensive new).

Lucky's wife must have hit him so hard that his head is still ringing so he didn't know he was yelling.  Give him a break.  It might take a few days for the cobwebs to clear out from the beating he received!  ::)

I've noticed that Lucky hasn't been posting as much since the "Incident".  Is his wife only letting him post in threads that Serendipity isn't posting in?  ???

Mutt

Hi Max, welcome to the nut house Vision Forum! I'm Mutt and I don't live too far away. I live in Clayton, NC. I'm about 1.5 hours south of the VA border on I-95. I wish I had seen your needs list before you bought the parts. I have LOTS of the parts you need and the price is right. You can contact me directly for anything else you may need and we can arrange to meet somewhere maybe half way. I have the advantage because that means I wouldn't have to go through Richmond  :P.

Again welcome....Mutt  :)

Step one get a manual.  Completed!
Still woring on getting more parts.  GRD cycle in Silver Springs MD saw my posting on Craigslist and said they have two they are parting out.  I'll be checking there shortly for a startor and other goods.  Still need to check the compression.

Glad to see that you found the forum. (I saw john's posting on craigslist looking for visions. Obviously my interest was peaked)

Of course the race is now on. Will john finish his vision and get to riding before my arm heals and allows me to finish my tank fix/paint? Stay tuned, same Vision channel, some indeterminate time later
It's not about living, it's about living well. Enjoy each moment.

I think we are going to have to have a Vision tech day somewhere in VA some time in the spring!!!

I just wonder how many bikes make up this puzzle.

:) Nobody can say your not serious about getting the old girl going again... ;) I would do the comp' test and concentrate on getting her running...fuel 'n spark...then build from there.  We are ALL here to help you. Good luck bro'... 8)

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA lets go again baby !!!!!!
