Engine is out of my XZ, not as tough a job as I thought.  I had the typical melted-together stator connector but all other connections and fasteners came out easily.

Question: The coolant hoses look to be in very good shape. Am I foolish to re-use them?  Are the stock hose clamps as inadequate as they look?

I reused the ones I had, with the exception of the long one that goes from the radiator to the rear cylinder head.  I had to replace that one, and I used a combination of a straight piece of hose and one from a car.  I had to replace it because I couldn't get it off and ended up cutting it.

I wrote down which hose it was.  I'll be grabbing all of the posts from the rebuild saga I did and making that available on the web for other peoples enjoyment  ::)

:) Like Brian I have only had to change the top one on one Vision. However, I do drain, flush, refill with longlife coolant and change ALL the hose clamp's for new stainless steel ones...if only for my own peace of mind!!!

Do you recommend screw-type hose clamps on the larger hoses?
