PGR ride

I rode with the Patriot Guard Sat.  We staged at the the Mohave Community  collage parking lot . I was impressed at the number of riders. There were over 250 riders, the two by two column stretched  over a mile. We first proceeded to the home of a just returned , Army Sargent and saluted his service and survival. Next we rode 6 miles to Mother Road Harley Davidson, Yamaha , Honda and Polaris , for a free burger and test rides on the newest HD's  The Mohave county sheriff and Kingman PD cleared a path for us at all signal lights and stop signs. It was a very impressive sight! 8) 8) :D
If you haven't considered riding with the Patriot Guard , you might look into it. Its a far cry from the welcome home the Viet Nam vets got on their arrival home!

The only bike that impressed me was the new HD XR1200 , WOW  :D :D I'd really like to have one of those!!

A buddy of mine Jim Storey(since his return from Nam in '69)  told me about his return.

They were told to wear civies when getting off the plane , as there were anti war protesters , at the airport. Jim  did , but his Sargent said , "I've earned these stripes and I'm proud of this uniform " so he wore his.  A woman came up to Jim and started screaming "baby killer" in his face. Now Jim is a natural born smart ass (like me ) so he said No,No lady , that  guy over there in uniform ,kills the baby's, I bayonet the women!!. she passed out on the spot!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Rode another PGR ride sat. A little smaller , this time . It was a send off for a medic in a airmoble unit and three MPs who were returning to the sandbox soon. One was a young woman. I wished them all Gods speed.  we were invited to a bar-B-Q  afterwards.  The rian hels off until I got home and got the bike inside.
