Most of the time the  float needles and seats are reusable, if not there are some from other Yamaha models, of similar vintage that will work. We make our own float bowl gaskets and will sell them to those in need.

After picking up the bike from Morris last weekend,I finally got to play with it today.I charged the battery during the week.
Since this sounded like a vacuum leak problem to me,I plugged off all the vacuum ports except the one to the fuel
pump and used a test tank made from a chainsaw tank that
I use to run bikes without the gas tank installed. After a squirt
of oil in each spark plug hole and a couple of squirts of gas in
each carb throat,it fired right off after about ten seconds of
cranking. It definitely makes the starter clutch noise at low
speed and the idle is quite rough. The rear pilot screw
adjustment makes no difference so carb cleaning is next on
the agenda as well as starter clutch repair.
The bike is in quite good shape. It needs cleaning up but has
very little rust or damage except for dents in the tank.My
intention is to spif it up and use it for commuting and touring
type riding. This will allow me to forget about practicality
with modifications on my other V.
