Clutch plug.

The wire that runs into the clutch lever, is that needed? Is some kind of switch to prevent starting in gear with no clutch? I don't think mine was even functional before now and I think it's broken. Anyone know ???

Look at the wiring diagram under Technical. It will allow you to start in gear with the clutch in. If you've ever stalled in traffic, you will know that is a good thing.
