Does anybody know what the oil pressure is when the engine is hot at idle, and at about 6000 RPM.
When they oil (20W50) is about 70 degrees i have an idle pressure of 10 PSI (0,5 bar) and at  6000 RPM 30 PSI (2.0 bar) It looks a bit low to me.
I know some of you guys metion an oil pressure of even lower than 12 PSI, but is that when idling, or running?

I have a live guage on mine, and it reads 12 psi F. at idle hot, and approx 40 psi @ 4K+ rpm hot
that's with Castrol 20W-50 oil
I don't know how accurate the guage is.

It could be inaccuracy of the guage, but i think there is something terribly wrong on my bike. It looks like that i am really losing presure somewhere. It also lookes like the original sensor was OK, so that means my oil pressure realy was dropping below 0,3 bar. Maybee one of the former owners forgot to install one or more of the rubber plugs under the valve cover, or is it possible that the seal on the crankshaft is worn out? (the one you need to replace after opening the clutch cover)
