What's with the rusty appearance of the front exhaust pipe?

those wolf systems require an extra bit of care, most were
not chromed ,
  that looks like the system that required good prep and painting with 2 or three coats of high temp bbq grill paint (solid black)   my parts guy had one of those on one of the crusher bikes ,,, wish it had been good,,,, had grill paint on it,,, was bent beyond use,,, but no rust

is the wolf better/ comparable to the original exhaust? and where does one obtain one?

It will be lighter and a different power curve than the original system. All reports say that it is better.

A couple of us are working with the original manufacturer to do another run of these. They were done by a small company in Ontario a number of years ago. The company has been supplied with one of the originals and is supposed to have an estimated cost for us soon.
